A tribute to the bloody yet beautiful city in which the coin was minted almost 500 years ago. This 2 Escudo coin is set into Lignum Vitae wood, which was used in the building of ships during this era. This resides in a 20k yellow gold, barnacle encrusted frame. Platinum starfish cling onto paraibas tourmalines, emeralds, Ruby's, diamonds and alexandrites. A large pearl complements the piece as the bail. The front slice is a liddicotite tourmaline from Brazil.
